Star Cavani ignoring 'rumours'
Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus target Edinson Cavani has hinted he wants to stay with Napoli, saying: "We can do better next season."
Cavani: Has hinted that his future lies with Napoli
The clinical Uruguayan striker has attracted envious glances following a season in which the 25-year-old hitman helped Napoli lift the Coppa Italia cup - their first piece of silverware in 22 years.
Team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi looks set to exit San Paolo this summer, with Liverpool thought to be keen on him and Cavani.
However, the ex-Palermo marksman seems unfazed by the media attention surrounding his future and appears instead to be looking forward to Napoli's next Serie A campaign.
"The Coppa Italia is simply the start for Napoli so that we can do even better next year," he told the Corriere dello Sport.
"I read the stories about me and the transfer market, but I know how the media game goes. It's part of the sport and of my job, but I don't listen to the rumours, nor do they annoy me.
"Besides, when I am on vacation I dedicate myself to my family and try to recharge my batteries so I can keep giving great moments of joy to the Napoli fans."
