Manchester City denies Balotelli dressing room bust-up following Arsenal defeat (Goal.com)

Manchester City denied rumors of a dressing room punch-up involving Mario Balotelli following its 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Reports emerged that, after his red card in the game, Balotelli was involved in the fracas between members of the squad after the game.

However the club has rebuffed the idea of the bust-up following the game in which City all but surrendered the Premier League title to rivals Manchester United.

A club spokesman, when asked about the incident, told The Daily Mail: "It is rubbish."

Roberto Mancini’s side has been no stranger to on and off-field incidents this season. Last week, during a 3-3 draw with Sunderland, Balotelli and Aleksandar Kolarov were involved in a scuffle as they debated who would take a free-kick.

The Italian striker had to be led away from the confrontation by captain Vincent Kompany. Reports emerged after the game that the 21-year-old had been involved in a further bust-up with midfielder Yaya Toure in which they also had to be separated.

Balotelli was involved in a training ground altercation with defender Micah Richards earlier this season while also allegedly getting into a fracas last campaign with Kompany in the same place.
